Prof. Christina Carlson, Ph.D., is an associate professor of English at Iona College in New Rochelle, New York, where she teaches courses in medieval literature and humanities. In 2016, she was named Senior Master Teacher. She holds a master’s degree in English from the University of Wales and a Ph.D. in English from Fordham University, and she is a graduate of the Guild for Spiritual Guidance. She Prof. Carlson is an expert on medieval women, domestic devotional experience, and pilgrimage, and she enjoys nothing more than introducing new students to the people and places of the Middle Ages. Prof. Carlson is a member of the Medieval Academy, the New Chaucer Society, the Medieval Club of New York, and the Hagiography Society.
