Born in the Netherlands, Nouwen was ordained as a Catholic priest and trained as a psychologist. A popular professor at Notre Dame, Yale, and Harvard, he was an advocate for the least among us.

His understanding of the deep connection between spirituality and mental health blossoms in his written works, where he ponders the heart’s restlessness and the agony of being human. A prolific writer himself, Prof. Higgins helps you delve into the complexity, mystery, and intensity of Nouwen’s thought.

Never one-dimensional, Nouwen’s spirituality for the wounded also presents us with genuine joy, boundless energy, and hope. Experience Nouwen as never before in this powerful series.
