The Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius Loyola, the founder of the Jesuits (Society of Jesus), are a tried and true method for growth in the spiritual life. Countless men and women have found inspiration in the Exercises throughout the centuries. Simply reading the Exercises, however, is of little benefit. They are like a manual or “how-to” book—they are not meant to be read but made.

Now, you can join renowned spiritual speaker Fr. James Kubicki, S.J., on an innovative Ignatian retreat, available in audio or video formats. Fr. Kubicki, the national director of the Apostleship of Prayer and a widely experienced preacher, uses a unique heart-centered approach to help you apply the Spiritual Exercises to your daily life.

4 reviews for The Spiritual Exercises: A Heart-Centered Approach

  1. Bev

The material is presented in such a manner that I have felt a sense of validation of my innermost spirituality.

The Ignation Exercises provided a great springboard on which I could delve/dive deeper into reflections as provided by Teresa of Avila. So many times I have felt the aha! Moments and wondered about them when taking the time to meditate, read and write. The material is presented in such a manner that I have felt a sense of validation of my innermost spirituality.

Can be listened to over and over

The Spiritual Exercises, by Father James Kubicki, is presented clearly, concisely and intelligently. They can be listened to over and over again for on-going spiritual guidance.

  3. Rev. George

    Excellent overview

It is an excellent overview of a system of structuring one’s live along spiritual values. The course teaches the exercises such that they can be employed by anyone; Catholics and non-Catholics alike.

    Spring Survey: April 2017

I think the priest who teaches this course is a good, holy and orthodox priest and he is an outstanding presenter. It would be nice if you had more programs by similar priests and theologians. It seems like many of the programs Now You Know Media offers are by theologians who might be considered dissenters from traditional Catholic doctrine or who at least question the correctness of positions taken by the Church, such as the inspiration and historical reliability of scripture. Essentially, I think Now You Know should provide more programs by more conservative theologians to balance things out.
